What's the first thing you do when you board the ship?

Go to the top deck and check out the view, then start exploring the ship from top to bottom.

The first thing we do is head to our room drop off luggage then read the daily newsletter to see what is going on where and when.

We drop off the suitcases and head for the Mariners' lunch.

I've usually been able to go straight to the cabin, even when we get early boarding. I do remember going to a Crown and Anchor reception once. But usually we get to the very top deck, and find a lounge chair and relax! Also usually hit the Sky Bar too!

 

Once we went to our room right after muster and took a nap! Woke up and the ship was moving. Ha - missed sail-away but isn't relaxing the point of a vacation!

If the cabins are ready we'll drop off our carry-ons first, otherwise we go to the buffet for lunch.

Newbie here..... what are the first things you do when you get on the ship?

 

Find out if the pub has any decent beer.

Check out cabin and obstructed view, leaving carry on behind we explore the ship, spending a lot of time on lido deck, until out of port.

Drop off my luggage and hug a cabin wall.

 

Check out various public areas with excited shrieks then head up for some food and a strong cocktail.

 

I then comment on the passenger demographic to my hubby while taking in the port view..

I'm ready to start the party from the time I get onboard.

I usually (in this order):

 

1. Throw my bags in the cabin.

2. Take a quick peek out on the balcony (or oceanview).

3. Go confirm any reservations for specialty restaurants or MDR seatings.

4. Enjoy a refreshing adult beverage while having lunch in the MDR.

On which cruise line will you be sailing?

Some cruise lines allow us to immediate access to our cabin, others don't.

That does make a difference in what we do first. :)

By that time our cabin is ready and we head there to drop off our carrry-on bag with our wine. After checking out what's going on from our balcony, we head to the pool deck for a fruity drink.

head to find a table in the shade on deck, get lunch, and a DOD. Kids wear their swimsuits so they can get in the water.

Then we search for our table, go make reservations, I try to unpack everything because I HATE to see suitcases.

Then it is about time for muster:D
