Small Cabanas GSC

You will love it!!! We had a small cabana last August and it was perfect. My daughter and her friend never left the small lagoon area there was plenty for them to explore and do. It's quiet and isolated and the staff is amazing.

The chips and different types of salsa are to die for. Each cabana also has a small shower behind it.

The menu that I've seen seems very limited, in terms of food. Can anyone post photos of what they ordered, or give a detailed description? We plan to enjoy frosty cocktails from the bar (not beer or wine), so I'm having a hard time deciding how to spend $50 on food. :)

Edited to add: I just saw the menu posted above (thank you!), and it reminded me that we are not seafood or sushi eaters, so that's why I am struggling. It just leaves the Charcuterie and Fresh Fruit platters. Has anyone ordered them? What did you think?

Thank you solararc :)

Since you are all so knowledgeable... any place to "stash" your stuff while you go to explore the far lagoon? I'm thinking just my kindle/key card. Would they be safe?

I personally like the large cabana better, and i do not think that the location is too bad, yes they are on top of a man made little hill with some steps and not right at the beach but unless you have a mobility impediment you will be fine, and the area is a bit quiet, but you still will get the music from the main stage. we have been in GSC 4 times and we love the island, last time was 11/2014 and we are back again 11/2015 and planning to rent a large cabana to share with others in my roll call.

The cabanas come with a safe inside.

take a look at this other threads for more info.

Good to know that thanks for the info, looking forward to Harvest Caye to open!! I'm sure it will be a similar cabana set up, I still wouldn't fret to much about a theft issue, I'd be more worried about the sun destroying any electronics

I just booked our small cabana for our April 2016 cruise. I kept checking the available excursions every week and suddenly last week they were there. This is 13 months out.

Thanks!!!

We booked one two weeks ago for our July 2016 cruise. Excursions were being added daily and then the cabanas just popped up. :)

Not quite a locker, but a good place to store your stuff. (Small cabana)

We ordered the charcuterie platter and it was very good. With that and the chips and salsa there is no need to go to the bbq. It's more than enough food.

Your stuff will be safe in the cabanas - no one bothers it and there's plenty of staff around.

That sounds great! Thank you! :D

So when you buy/reserve one online, are you assigned a number then or is it the mad dash to the island/ shore excursion desk to claim your cabana #?

No mad dash. When you get your "shore excursion" receipt in your cabin, it will list what cabana you have been assigned.

Wish I could post a pic but we got the seafood selection and the charcuterie platter... we went over the 50$ by 13$ but all was soooo yummy and absolutely no need to go to bbq. We had more than enough food!!

Great to hear about the charcuterie platter. Thank you! :)
