Sail away on Royal question

Our mini is on the starboard side. I like to be on port side leaving Port Everglades. Are there any secret public balconies forward or aft on the port side?

RCI has them and they're wonderful, but I can't recall Princess having them.

Deck seven Promenade, mid-ship or aft, will give you a viewing at the railing.

Forward - no. Aft, yes. Decks 16 and above is open. We watched sail away from St. Kitts a couple weeks ago from Horizon Terrace. There are some nice couches, sitting areas as well as a few tables or just standing at the railing. There is is a bar right there to get your sail away beverage of choice too!

I did find that it was better to hear the horn better from my own balcony than up that far because announcements came just as we started and the horn started playing the theme from Love Boat. I tried to tape it there and got the public announcements from the staff instead.

HT is on deck 16 and it is covered. Go higher and it is not.

We loved the Outrigger Bar aft of the HC. We were there for every sailaway.

We especially loved leaving Naples. We had a couple of comfy chairs and a couple of El Mejor margaritas. What more could you ask for. :D

Also brought plates of snacks from the buffet.
