Starting to check out the scans...it's seems like the pages weren't scanned in landscape...try turning the pages the length of the scanner, hopefully that works

I initially scanned all documents from landscape view with the full length of the page. The file size was too large, which is when I did the "half" page scans. Didn't think about doing the half scans still in "landscape mode". Scanning these isn't the fun part for me (I like pictures! I like stories!). I probably will not rescan the previous scans, but can fix the future ones as I go.

Sorry I haven't made these easy to follow! Not so helpful when you can't just load any size file you want :/ I'll be happy to look at any FunTimes for anybody to help out.

Oh ok, thanks for your hard work! Try black and white, lower dpi, and landscape for the rest.

Here's the FunTimes for St. Thomas. Again, if you can't see something, let me know!

I can see them!

Thanks for doing this, it gives us a nice idea of what to expect.

We sail next Sunday!

We had a great time on this cruise...first time Carnival cruisers...ship was great...food was good...service was outstanding...weather was a bit rainy in Barbados and had to switch St. Kitts to Dominica due to wind. We only got off at St. Thomas for Meagan Bay and St. Lucia for horseback riding...loved having the ship to ourselves. During the cruise never had trouble finding a table to eat. Ship is well thought out with bathrooms close to the pool...what a winning concept! Did not do any shows...they lean towards comedy and singing and dancing. All in all it was a nice relaxing cruise on a great ship

I'll definitely be following your review and am really looking forward to it. We did the same itinerary on Valor in May 2013 and it is, hands down, our favorite itinerary. We were also on Liberty last year on a western Caribbean cruise, so I'm looking forward to your experience on Liberty as well.

We just got off the Liberty 4/12. Our 13th Carnival cruise. Had a wonderful time and the best Carnival cruise yet! The best ship staff we have ever had from the cabin steward, bar staff, excursion staff to customer service. All impecable.

Food was exceptional

Shows were just average. In fact we never stayed to see an entire show. If you go to a comedy show and he opens with this show is offensive...leave. He is not worth your time and the hate he spouts is disgusting.

We were able to get on the ship around 11am and the cabin was ready. We did self assist to get off and were off by 7 am. Our flight back home did not depart until 2:45. San Juan airport in terminal D has a bag storage area next to the USDA inspection station for $10 a bag. We stored our bags and went back to the beach for a few hours.

Hope you all enjoy the trip as much as we did!!

Next round of FunTimes... and I think I maybe finally figured out what I am doing with my scanner. It's a miracle when you have "why am I back to work, I want to be on the Liberty!" brain!

Yes, you're reading this correctly. We did NOT stop at St. Kitts. Per the captain, there was an "indication for high winds" and it would not be safe to stop. They knew this in advance (it was not a last minute call) and had made the decision before we ever left St. Lucia. I am not sure if this FunTimes will mimic St. Kitts. I do know that they did fly the comedians to Dominica, so the schedule may remain similar.

I am jealous that you got to go to Dominica..... in 2010 we did this itinerary and Dominica was a normal and the itinerary did not have a sea day. Dominica is a very beautiful place... just not very developed. Can't wait for your review and pictures to start. Are you going to keep on this thread? Or do we need to look for you again in the mixer?:p

Expect my review here :) Spent the rest of my night, between catching up on mountains of laundry, on uploading pictures. Can't wait to share!

I'd been to Dominica once a handful of years ago, so I had a basic sense of what to do and expect. The unexpected change made me a little sad (St Kitts is the only port I hadn't gone to, they were all new to my husband besides St Thomas) but we ended up having a good day. Vacation is vacation!

Before I begin, a little background on us:

My DH and I are in our mid-late 20's. We live in Michigan, which we love in the summer and tolerate in the winter. This was his 2nd cruise (I took him on our first last year and successfully have gotten him hooked!). This was my 7th (I think..). I was lucky enough that in high school my parents started taking us on cruises, and I haven't stopped since! We are pretty easy going, love to try/see/attend all sorts of different things on the ship, and like adventure just as much as we like to be beach bums with a drink in our hand on the islands.

The only island my husband had been to was St. Thomas. I'd been to all at least once but St. Kitts, which we didn't end up stopping at.

Our vacation started on Good Friday. There's not much fun to share from that day as we drove to Chicago that day. My twin sister moved there a few years ago with her boyfriend, so it was our opportunity to see them. Flights to San Juan were expensive, period, due to it being a Spring Break week. I did find them cheaper from Chicago, so I ran with it.

Saturday

Saturday morning we woke up early and made our drive to the Chicago airport. Despite it being a Saturday during Spring Break, getting there and through the various airport transportation was a breeze. As our bags were being weighed, we discovered our flight was delayed by about 45 minutes. We didn't care too much- we were on vacation!

Our flight left by 12:25 and by 6:15 pm, we were walking out of the San Juan airport. We had reservations at the Sheraton Hotel and Casino in Old San Juan. We chose it because it was in my expected price range, and mostly for location! It is right across from the pier Carnival docks at, in the heart of Old San Juan, and so close to so many great restaurants and both forts. Our taxi ride costs $24 (ride+$1 for 3 pieces of luggage) and took probably 20 minutes or so.

Our plan was to go to Barrachina's, which is supposedly the place where the pina colada was created. We'd been there before for the drink, and this time wanted to get in on the food.

The famous pina colada! So good that we even got one for the walk back to the hotel.

Last time we were in San Juan, we fell in love with mofongo. If you haven't tried it, you must! I went for the shrimp mofongo here and definitely was not disappointed!

We'd toyed with the idea of doing more that night, but decided to go back to the hotel to relax. I think we wanted to go to bed just so that the next day would get there faster!
