Really Odd Fact About September 10 For as long as such records have been kept, there has always been a named Atlantic hurricane active on September 10. And this year is no different thanks to Ophelia, which is on a circuitous, looping path spinning in the ocean east of Florida, as well as Maria and Nate. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30.
