Can A Princess Gift Card Be Used To Buy Alcohol on the Ship?

Just wondering...i know about the drinking packages, charging things to the account, etc...but i was wondering if i had a gift card, could that be used to buy beer/wine onboard?

I would think you would have to buy OBC with it, which when applied to your onboard account could be used against anything you charge onboard.

I have a couple of Princess e-gift cards. They state that once I'm on board I can apply them to my onboard account at guest relations. Which then could be used to buy anything onboard of course.

You could not go to a bar and use the card to pay for the drink.

I agree. After things calmed down on the first day took the cards to the passenger service desk. They applied the amount to my portfolio. It took about half hour because they could not figure out how to do it.
