Beachin2 Posted May 25, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2015 The Legend is still in HNL after missing our 11:00 PM scheduled sail last night with "maintenance issues". The rescheduled sailing was for 2:00 AM - later changed to noon. We will see...... No real indication of issues on the previous cruise from Ensenada to HNL, although I did see divers in the water on several of the port stops. No power issues we can see - everything is open (except for casino & shops, of course) and weather is beautiful. Lovely day for a sea day dock-side! Seems to be a rash of delayed sailings lately for mechanical issues. Don't get me wrong - we shouldn't leave with a broken ship - but sure does seems to be a rash of it lately. Beachin2 Posted May 25, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) Left just a bit after noon +/- 13 hours late. No announcement made as to what the problem was. Captain indicated we will still reach Moorea on time - averaging 20.7+ knots all the way. TV indicates 20.8 right now. Will nose around in the CL and elsewhere to see if I can learn what happened. Beachin2 Posted May 26, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted May 26, 2015 I am very keen to follow your progress as I am booked on Legend's next cruise. Looks like the problem has been fixed. Every time I checked last night and this morning we were trucking along at +/- 21.7 Kn. Made over 415 Km overnight. Was told in the CL last night that the problem was one of the propellers (no AZIPODS on this ship) and it certainly appears fixed to be at these speeds. BTW the officers have been very visible and engaging both this cruise (so far) and the previous one so easy to get information. Keep packing - we are making our way south! :D
