Its 7:45 and the Star still has not sailed by. Just checked Ship Tracker and her bridge cam and she appears to be still tied up at Canada Place...some 3 hrs after scheduled departure. Anyone know why the delay?

Her bridge cam still shows her tied up at Canada Place and facing outwards toward Lonsdale Quay on the North Shore and Ship Tracker still shows her along side.... now 3.5 hrs late.

Good thought UT, just checked the roll call, actually one was started in error for. June 15th then another was started for today' date. Both are very shallow roll calls and there are no recent posts. She is now abeam our front window and is all lit up.

FYI..

There was a major flight delay from Chicago, one particular flight. Many on that flight on the Star, which is why she held her position so long. :)

3-4 hours for a late flight?

Wow if that's the case they were very lucky the ship waited.

Are you onboard?

Just speculating, but, if Princess Air had anything to do with air arrangements for some of those on the flight then the wait would have been better (cheaper for Princess) than what they would have needed to do to catch those folks up to the cruise later on.

Onboard Star now, just arrived in Ketchikan after booking it the last day and a half! (We passed the HAL ship that left 4 hours before us at some point yesterday afternoon and then "slowed down" a bit) Apparently there were quite a few people on a delayed plane so we stuck around waiting for them. Only got one announcement at @4:15pm about the delay, but it didn't say what time we would be departing. I enjoyed sail away from my balcony and immediately fell asleep b/c it had been almost 24 hours straight of being awake... Having an amazing time, phenomenal dinner last night with the special 50th anniversary menu, and we are now awaiting the "all clear to go ashore" here in Beautiful Ketchikan!
