Transportation from LAX to San Pedro cruise port

Recommended Posts

We will be taking the Pacific Coastal Cruise which departs from San Pedro cruise port on October 3rd. We will be flying from Phoenix to LAX with Southwest and are scheduled to arrive at LAX at 9:10 am on the morning of the cruise. Any suggestions as to the best way to get from the airport to the pier? Any and all help and suggestions will be appreciated

This is the same suggestion I sent a day or two ago to another poster.

We always do private transportation to and from San Pedro, and have used ontime1.com many times. Clean vehicles, and very professional and courteous drivers. The usual rate in a town car is $55 for all of the people plus a tip. They also go to Long Beach.

They have always been on time.:):)

Prime Time & Super Shuttle are shuttle van services which recent posts said cost about $17. When I've used them to get to LAX or the cruise terminal from home additional passengers were only a few dollars more.

If you haven't read recent discussions on this forum & on the Princess forum, October 3rd is not a normal day for the Port of LA. There are 4 ships in port & thus it's required to use the extra cruise berth 46 and berth 54 which is described as for chilled & frozen cargo.

I don't know what ship you're sailing & here are the last berth assignments I've read from the Port of LA.

What is the "best" way can be subjective. If you are looking for the cheapest way, you can take a shared van shuttle with Prime Time or SuperShuttle for $16-17 pp. This option will probably take a little longer than a private car, as the shuttle will likely wait to take on more passengers and possibly make a stop or two along the way.

We've used Super Shuttle, but we always come in a day ahead of the cruise. Coming in the day of the cruise you might want to take a limo service.

We like the price of Super Shuttle and we get to see some of the area as other people are dropped off :).

Have a wonderful cruise,
