Does NCL offer airline check in onboard?

Recommended Posts

We are sailing on Getaway next month - does NCL offer airline check on onboard and/or a luggage service so that we can put our luggage out on the last night of the cruise and then not see it until we get to our home airport?

Also, how much are they charging for transfers from Port of Miami to FLL?

Thanks for your input!

Unless you plan of doing the "walk off" ship yourself you have to put your luggage out by your cabin door, I think no later than 11pm the last night of your cruise. You have to claim your luggage at the port and go through security/customs. Once you go though there and make it outside there are plenty of porters to help. I do remember seeing porters available inside of the building to help as well. We did use NCL for transportation from and to the airport. We flew in/out of MIA though. Our cost per person was $19.00.

Thanks for the responses. That is too bad they discontinued bag service. It so nice just walking off the ship and not having to deal with any luggage and not having to wait in line at the airport to check the bags.

That is too bad, I never did it on NCL but have on Royal and Princess. Loved it

yeah, its nice unless you have what happened to us-our flight got cancelled the morning we got to port; the next day we had to go to claim the bags at the baggage office at the airport in another terminal before the rescheduled flight

luckily, we were able to get a hotel room near a Kmart so we could buy clean clothes
