General question about tipping

Well I am not sure just who gets what, so probably.

I know we have tipped

Cafe man

Sanatiser girl at Buffett and

Wine waiter (who, as we don't drink never served us once) just because they were fun and made our cruise special.

We once had our garment bag (suitcase weight, not carryon) was ripped and though I didn't much care except I had to get all those clothes it had contained home, the upholsterer on board stitched it for us. I was so delighted the great job he did, I gave our concierge an envelope with thank you note and picture of a dead U.S. president to have delivered to him with my thanks. :) I was grateful for the help.

We tipped the 2 bartenders at molecular bar on the solstice, we drank there every night and they were always so friendly and came up with off menu drinks for us to try. I wanted to tip the washy washy guy outside the buffet on our last trip as he was always so funny but he wasn't there our last morning and I didn't know his name.

We have been known to tip people who have helped me with my walker -- especially get on and off the ship.

Yep. We always tip the crew member who pushes hubby in a wheelchair at embarkation and disembarkation.

My girlfriend and I recently sailed on the Sunshine out of Port Canaveral which was a great time. We like to stay up late, hit the comedies, grab some drinks, and play at the casino. These activities were followed up with a nightly visit to the 24 hour pizza shop at about 300 ish in the morning. Cook named Carl was there literally every night and always cooked us what we wanted even specially ordered pizza. He always did it with a smile, was polite and courteous, all the while other passengers would be rude, inconsiderate and belligerent (drunk). On the last night of our sailing, we visited Carl just like every other night, ordered our pizzas as we did the previous 6 nights (which he remembered mine and my girlfriends order) and waited the usual ten minutes. Carl took the pizzas out, cut em up and handed them to us and in return we gave him an envelope with $25 in it. He seemed confused as to why we would give him a tip and I told him that we got pizza from him almost every night and that he did it with precision. His face grew into a huge smile and I believe he truly never expected to receive a tip for what some might say as "simply making pizza". He Thanked us and we walked off with our pizza to enjoy the rest of the night.
