Amtrak Fort Lauderdale

Does anyone know how far the Amtrak station is from the port? We are taking a train after we leave the Emerald. Thanks!

I don't have a good idea of how long it should take because our cab driver (who was American) acted as if she had never heard of Amtrak. She took us to a train station that I guess was for a local train (maybe the Tri-rail?). I told her that was definitely NOT the station that the train brought us to on the way down. We asked a homeless guy there and he told her where the Amtrak station was. She was really pissed off that she had to go there. I imagine it is probably 20 minutes or so if you can find someone that knows how to get there.
