We have never been to Valencia before and I was wondering what is their to do there?

What do you do when you go there??

Is there any private tours you would recommend??

Any tips/advise/ideas are very welcome. :)

We are only in Valencia till 2pm (according to the Princess website), so not much time..

Valencia is a beautiful city but, if you are getting tired of looking at stunning architecture, have a trip to the Lladro ceramics factory. An interesting tour with the possibility to purchase their famous figures at lower than usual retail prices - it is advisable to book your tour in advance as places are limited. http://valenciavalencia.com/sights-guide/museums-listings/lladro.htm

Valencia also has a state of the art Aquarium - the largest in Europe - that is a great place for a short stay http://www.valencia-tourist-guide.com/en/attractions/valencia-aquariums.html

Valencia city lies a few kilometres from the cruise port so ships generally provide a shuttle bus.

The city is beautiful including the old town area.

Closer to the cruise port is the Aquarium which indeed is the largest in Europe.

We have done both and I would highly recommend doing both of these.

DW and I just loved walking around Valencia (must have walked over 5 miles on a beautiful day). Parts of the city do have some wonderful old buildings and there is also a decent market (called the Marketplace) which is fun to just browse the various regional products.

Just spent a week there and it is really a lovely city. Stroll around Old Town. Visit the market, the cathedrals, the bull ring. We also did an informative walking tour with George from toursbylocals.com. Would highly recommend. Also would recommend eating some local cuisine!

Go to tourist office near the Nuestra Senora de los Decampardos befor 10.30 and pick up a walking tour of the old town which is excellent. The walk starts back at the Nuestra . The tourist office phone the guides to say your on your way. Taxis to the tourist office cost 20 euros approx. The guide at the end of the walk will take you to the bus stop to catch the bus to the city of arts and sciences. Opposite the city is a corte engles department store where you can ca abus back to the ship or take another taxi - its still a distance to the ship because you have to go around the railway lines.
