Parking in LA

Although I am of no help in your request, I believe you mean San Pedro. Carnival is the company that actually leaves out of Long Beach.

I will be on the Jewel for the Nov 29th sailing, and so far just plan on parking there at the port.

I am interested in hearing opinions from others as well though as far as alternates go since the only others I have seen are with the stay and park at Crown Plaza.

Thanks for the help. We have sailed out of LA in the past and always Long beach. Good to know the right port or we would have missed the boat. LOL

:D

LOL.... that could have gotten awkward real fast arriving at the Queen Mary.

You know it is Los Angeles, right? Parking at Miami cost me $20 a day at the port. San Pedro's parking is $16 per day so a week would be $112.

There are some hotels that do stay and cruise packages, but it is Los Angeles. Most will be more for one night's lodging than parking at the port. The Crowne Plaza Hotel, and the Doubletree Hotel offered them in the past, so you can check with them. But I suspect they will be more than $112 for the night. The others are the San Pedro Inn and Suites and the Vagabond Inn in San Pedro, so you can check their rates and see if they are cheaper. Unless you need to stay the night before anyway, I'm not sure you'll save much money.

I'm also hoping for an alternative. Parking for a week should not cost over $100 :(

Guess that is not too bad after all. It is not that much over $100. I remember it being more out of Long Beach.
