Saving Chairs/Loungers etc...

Currently on the Escape. According to the Freestyle Daily (which is identical to what I remembered from previous cruises), "If any chair is left unattended for longer than 60 minutes, the items will be removed and handed in at the guest services desk."

 

You guys can continue to say 30 minutes all you want, but that isn't NCL's policy. If you expect chair hogs to follow the rules, then those who want to remove things after 30 minutes should follow them, too.

Good point. I seem to recall there were signs saying 45 minutes on the Gem so this may vary from ship to ship (in any event one should be sure of what the policy is before taking action).

On HAL if you book a Lani room that opens on the Promenade you get a private lounge chair. Found it very nice.

 

I for one would be willing to pay say $50/sailing for a reserved private poolside or deck chair. That would be an add-on I would gladly pay.
