It was a beautiful day yesterday so we sat outside for a few hours.

It was the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and on the 15th Sep, roughly 35 Spitfires, Hurricanes and Blenheim took off from Goodwood on various routes across the South East part of England to mark the largest air battle with the Luftwaffe.

 

Just a couple of pictures I managed to get, as a couple of groups flew along the coast line.

For years we always had several chipmunks.

Then a neighbor started feeding feral cats and those cats killed the chipmunks and quite a few birds. Those cats are long gone.

We are not sure where this chipmunk came from -- he is small compared to ones we had years ago. I think he is a baby still growing up.

Wow! Fantastic images this week, I hope these are worthy - from Hunt Tomb in downtown Phoenix this morning - the light was incredible:

A visit to the annual Route 66 event made me sad for the lack of rumbling

horsepower in my SUV (and that I now drive an SUV instead of something

that rumbles). This was offset by realizing that I could go home and brag

about how comparatively cheap my hobbies are!

Lots of good and interesting pictures have been posted earlier on this week's thread. Fall is getting closer in the Midwest with the nice day-time temperatures and cool evenings. Very enjoyable here in Central Ohio. Almost perfect weather that we will be having all this week here.

 

Yesterday afternoon, we did a local "Parade of Homes" and I captured a few images. Some have interesting fall/floral touches and other varied items that might be worth sharing. See below!!

From a Central Ohio "Parade of Homes" yesterday afternoon, below are few visuals that capture certain signs of the season, including mums being the floral treat of the season. The second picture shows an unusual pool table with a base as if it was a red Mustang convertible. Cute!!
