Best beach for a day in Cozumel

We are going on allure of the seas December 13th. We are looking to do a beach day in Cozumel. Any recommendations? There are 8 of us so we were thinking probably taking a couple cabs somewhere would be the best value.

I found the day at Mr. Sanchos to be amazing. Our group would not do all inclusive again, as only one member really took advantage (but drinking beer, it still was only BARELY...)

 

The beach was great, the water was great. We loved stand up paddle boarding for a reasonable price ($35 for an hour lessons and facebook photos included)

For great snorkeling from the shore (but no beach) - Money Bar

 

For non-AI -- Paradise Beach

 

With little kids-- Playa Mia (great kiddie water park)

 

For AI with a lively atmosphere - Mr. Sanchos (about $50 each)

 

For AI that is small, quiet, and relaxing -- Nachi Cocom (about $55 each)

After reading a lot of reviews on this site we went to Nachi Cocum last May. We loved it. The food was great, and they were always checking on us to see if we wanted another drink. We are going back again in November on our next cruise.

Has anyone been to Playa Azul recently? I've seen a comment here & there but not really many details.

Excellent breakdown! just one addition: these 4 beaches are one after another along the same shoreline. The differences are in who each beach caters to, and JohninDC nailed it.
