On with the SHIP TOUR.

I always try to do the tour of the ship by each deck, so we will start with the lowest....

DECK 6

Art Gallery Area: (I didn't take a lot. I just don't really feel right taking pictures of pictures that they are trying to sell. It's like a copyright thing for me).

I really liked this picture, so thought it was ok to take one of it.

Enjoying your review as I was on the same cruise.

Being a Jersey Girl, the saying is 'if you can drive in NJ/NY -you can drive anywhere'. Happy you arrived safely.

The second picture you took of the painting with the Twin Towers was the painting my husband & I purchased at the art auction! Besides showing the Towers, his office building is pictured on the right. As soon as we saw it on the first day, he knew he wanted to buy it. I'm amazed that out of all the pictures, you chose that one to take a picture of.

We ended up quite disappointed in this cruise. Our Haven/Butler experience was terrible & we felt most of the venues were much too small for the amount of people on board. I'd never sail on the Breakaway again. I'm worried that as time goes on & ships are replaced, they may keep building these mega ships -which will probably cause us to cruise much less. For us, the Jewel was a much nicer ship.

Looking forward to the rest of your trip report. Thanks!

We were on the Sept. 20,2015 sailing. We agree with you. Ship was way too crowded. Capacity was at 4,500. Most times the buffet felt like a zoo. For breakfast, we did eat at Uptown Grill. Casino was very crowded and too much smoke. Hardly any machines were open. Pool area was a joke. It was always three-deep at the pool bars. Could hardly find a spot in the pool. And forget about finding a deck chair anywhere by the pool or other decks. Atrium was also crowded. Had to snake through passengers to get any where there. Showroom was way too small for the size of the ship. Food was just OK. Liked the French onion soup and chocolate volcano cake. We will also NOT be sailing the BA again.

On the second stop, I was looking down as passengers were getting off and noticed a luggage coming my way, just like the hubbys. As it started moving past me, being pulled by a guy also pushing a luggage in front of him, I thought to myself "Hey, someone else has luggage just like my hubby's." As the guy went past me, people in the area moving for him to get by, the name tag caught my eye...IT WAS MY HUSBANDS LUGGAGE!!! At first I thought the hubby was moving up toward me, but as I raised my head, I seen the guy pulling it along and...being a nurse, all I could think of was "save the luggage" and I went into action. The guy pushed his luggage off the tram, he stepped foot off the tram and just before they hubbys luggage also went off the tram, I grabbed the handle and yanked it from this monsters claws as the door shut! SERIOUSLY??? Someone just tried to get off with our luggage? What type of place is this? Who are these people? What did I get myself in to? I turned around, gave that disapproved look to the hubby...had a few choice words along the line of wth are you doing back there and not paying attention that someone just nearly walked off with your luggage???? Sigh!!

That brings up another question, if he didn't yell wonder if it was just a mistake or was the other luggage someone elses also.

I love the photos you take. They are better than any travel brochure I have seen.

I grew up right in Manhattan and I learned to drive on Wall Street :D Seriously, on Sundays down town Manhattan used to be like a ghost town and if we went early I could practice driving all around the streets there.I passed my driving exam first time I took it and it was in downtown Manhattan during the week.

What scared me to death was when I went to Kentucky and went out at night only to discover that they don't have lights on their roads and it was pitch black. I always had drivien in NYC with lights lighting all the roads.

Well, if you sail the Epic out of PC, we will literally be on ships that pass in the port. We sail on the first Oasis cruise out of PC on Nov 5 for 8 nights, so we will be returning to port on the day you would be sailing. Once they drag us off the ship, kicking and screaming I am sure, we will be ready to surrender and head for home.

I have heard really good things about the Sunshine from our friends and neighbors who have sailed on her. I have not looked at the Sunshine's current pricing, but I do know that our friends have gotten some pretty good deals.

I am also considering booking the Epic while she is based in PC. Your review of the Epic has influenced my consideration, as has the fact that PC is just a 90 min drive from home for us. I have so many cruises I want to do, though, and so little time and money to do them with that the Epic will just have to take her place in line.

Oooooohhh weeee, gonna be on the Oasis! :D LUCKY YOU! I WILL sail that ship some day. It's definitely on my bucket list and has been for years...just the pricing is not on my bucket list yet. :p

I will have to keep checking on the Sunshine. I'm getting ready to start back to school for another degree, so my cruising time will be a little more limited from here on forward. So, we'll see.

I can't believe my review of the Epic could influence anyones consideration since I really didn't do reviews back then like I do now. I didn't even take the pictures like I do now and I'm so disappointed in myself. :o That's another reason I need a "redo"...she needs a proper review from me. :D

Well hello there! Aside from the bad service from the butler and the crowds, I hope you enjoyed yourself in Bermuda. Such a beautiful place.

WOW, that is amazing that you guys purchased that picture. We must be alike in our taste. Every time I went by that picture I had to look at it. :)

Thanks for joining me with this review. Glad to have you here.

I agree with several of the things you said. I'll cover that in my review (hopefully I'll be able to remember them all). I hope you managed to have a good time in Bermuda none-the-less. :)

Are you talking about the luggage he was pushing in front of him? It had to have been his otherwise with the scene I made after I grabbed the luggage and yelled back at my hubby, I'm sure everyone else on the tram would have noticed if their luggage was missing at this point.

Oh I am loving seeing these pix today. I've read that there is a smaller version of the buffets in the Moderno area for breakfast and lunch. Did you happen to check that out?

Oh darn. I have read that too and completely forgot about checking that out. So no, I didn't. :(

Thank you so much for the compliment. I appreciate it.

That's funny about driving without the lights in the dark. I guess we all have our phobias. Mine is actually "riding" with someone else driving. If I'm driving, I'm fine. I feel like I'm in control of things. But if I have to be a passenger...forget it. I think I get extreme anxiety...and it gets worse the older I get. I don't even ride with my hubby when we go out. I insist on driving. :p This is just something that I have started noticing within the last 5 years or so. Hmmm. This is also the reason we have decided to fly everywhere we go. Driving for long distances....nah...unless I'm doing the driving. :D

DECK 12

Splash Academy (Now this area is where the younger kids are at, but it's also where you check in the older children, not teens. I did not go upstairs to look at the room that Sakari was in because parents are not allowed in with the kids other than on the first day during registration...and that didn't go well for us. So, no pics of the upstairs area).

You will also see various pictures of this area decorated since they do a different theme night every night and decorate the check-in/out area to coincide with this.

So happy you have posted another review and especially this trip to Bermuda. We want to do another Bermuda cruise but I have been reluctant to try the Breakaway because it is so large. I absolutely love your reviews. Thank you so much for all your hard work.

Enjoying your new review. Was on the Dawn Repo last Fall & I also came home with Bronchitis. Planning 3 cruises for next year. Cheap cruise on Jade out of Houston for February 27, short getaway on Sky next November followed by a week on the Escape the following week. Hopefully I reach Platinum by then.

Thanks you so much. Glad to have you here. I completely understanding about the big mega ships. It's a whole different world.

It really has me wondering about these respiratory issues from people coming from Bermuda. Seriously. It's just so weird and seems to be both Breakaway and the Dawn.

The Jade seems to have some awesome prices every time I have looked. So that's a good thing for me since I haven't sailed her yet. :D

We did a short trip on the Sky last year followed by the Sun. It was an awesome ship and we loved it. I hope you do as well. :)
