To end the "tour"...here are some "extras" around the ship.

I will have more of the ship within the review that you'll get to see. They were not included here because it has my family in them during the times that we may have done them (like the sports area: basketball, ropes course, golf, ziplining and so on).

Oooooohhh weeee, gonna be on the Oasis! :D LUCKY YOU! I WILL sail that ship some day. It's definitely on my bucket list and has been for years...just the pricing is not on my bucket list yet. :p

I will have to keep checking on the Sunshine. I'm getting ready to start back to school for another degree, so my cruising time will be a little more limited from here on forward. So, we'll see.

I can't believe my review of the Epic could influence anyones consideration since I really didn't do reviews back then like I do now. I didn't even take the pictures like I do now and I'm so disappointed in myself. :o That's another reason I need a "redo"...she needs a proper review from me. :D

Yes, we are finally sailing on the Oasis! I had been waiting somewhat patiently because I kept hearing she would be moving to PC, only a 90 min drive from our house. That is a big deal in our house because my DH is one of those NYC drivers you experienced in getting to your Breakaway cruise. He is originally from Brooklyn. Even though it has been many years since he has lived there, the New Yorker in him comes out every time he gets behind the wheel. Makes cruising out of PC VERY appealing.

BTW, I mis-countded days on our Oasis cruise. If you sail on Epic on Nov 12 next year we will get back the day AFTER you sail. We would definitely miss you.

Good for you on going back to school. Will the degree you are going for be related to what you have already done in nursing?

I thought your Epic review was pretty darned good so yes, it did get me thinking about sailing on a ship I might not have considered otherwise.

The last time we flew, I discovered how to get the t.v to work on my phone while on the plane (I know, nothing new, but I had never tried it or brought headphones).

I found a show I liked and it passed the time by quickly. I felt that I was being watched, I turned my head abruptly to find my hubby breathing down my neck trying to see my show (he did NOT remember to bring his headphones). I decided to be nice and share mine with him...as long as he was willing to watch the same show, we had a deal. After all, sharing is caring right?

They had told us when we boarded that the ride was going to be a little bumpy. The Captain said he had just came from New York and the ride would not be a good one.

Honestly, I didn't think it was bad at all and had experienced a much worse ride on our last flight going to Boston in June. Or...maybe I was just really into the show we were watching.

I looked over at Sakari and ask if she was ok and this was the fake smile I got in return:

She loves flying, but does have a problem with getting her ears to pop going up. Coming down is usually not a problem. I come stocked with plenty of gum!

I was happy when I started to see water and knew we must be getting closer.

We landed with no problems and was off to find our luggage.

Now we had never been to New York before (other than driving a short distance headed to Niagara Falls in Canada). I was so confused as to where to go once you get your luggage in order to find where the cars pick you up for the hotel at. A nice lady pointed in the direction of the escalators and up we went only to discover we would be riding a mono-rail/subway type of thing that appeared to be hanging off the side of the building.

It didn't take long before it pulled up and Sakari was getting super excited.

Kim, get Sakari "Earplanes". I had the same problem until an ent doctor recommended these. They make them in child and adult sizes.

Thank you for putting so much time and effort into these reviews! You do the community a great service by offering so many pictures of the ships. My favorite part of your review (and I'm guessing I'm not alone) is reading about your family - I really feel like I've gotten to know them! Probably an unhealthy attachment but when updates were dribbling out during your cruise, all I could think about was how Sakari must be disappointed that the pools were closed the first few days of the cruise.

I love your reviews! This is the first one I am following live and it kills me to not be able to binge read it for a few days. On the plus side I am actually getting stuff done! I want to take this cruise in 2017!

Thanks so much. LOL "binge reading". :p

Yes, another nursing degree. I'm going back for my bachelors this time around. :D

Aww, how sweet of you to say such nice things. The pools were closed? :p Must have been the UBP that kept me from noticing. :D

I can't wait to read more of your review. I look forward to hearing any thoughts you have comparing it to the Getaway. Keep it coming! Thanks so much for your thorough reviews!

Thanks for coming in and joining me.

Subscribing.

Glad to have ya.

I am really enjoying the review. I can't wait to "see" Bermuda again. It has been over 30 years for me.

BTW what is The Marketplace? I could not find any info on NCL's site.

The Marketplace is just an added area between the pools that they bring stuff out during the cruise to sell (or "sale" they claim). :p

Joining in to see how you liked the BA.

we sailed it Aug 9 of this year.

I loved Bermuda!!

The Breakaway is a beautiful ship...but I found out I am not a fan of the mega ships.

Way too crowded for my taste. Hated that you needed a reservation for most dining and entertainment (takes the freestyle out of the picture for me!)

We earn our cruises in the casino-- and really hated the layout of the casino and how smokey it was. I did win pretty decently though so that was a plus!

Used your Dawn review to help plan my BA trip, so thank you for all that information! Used h20 watersports also and enjoyed that day.

You always do great detailed reviews....and reading them helps keep this night nurse awake when its slow at work! ;o)

Love this review! Going on NCL for the first time next March, so we're excited to try something new.

Thanks for the comments. I hope you have a wonderful time on the Breakaway next year. :)

Hi there and happy to have you here for my review. I completely understand your feelings about the Breakaway and such a big ship.

Glad you had a good day with H20. Did you end up doing the jet skiing or renting a boat?
