Choosing two promo's this weekend with only one showing up.

I had originally booked the Getaway March 2016 with the alc beverage package (CHOB). This weekend they now offered two promo options. So I called NCL and added the show excursion package as well (CHOSHX). But on my ticket contract and on my vacation summary it only has the shore excursion package listed.

 

After an hour and twenty mins on the phone the rep didnt know why and said to print out my old contact and my new contract and show them at the port I had both. I'm not feeling very confident about this. Anyone else having this problem with only one promo code showing up but two were booked?

Just an update-

 

I ended up having her undo the changes and revert it to the way it was before I called.

 

I called back and got someone new. It took about 15 mins and I was all set with both promotions showing on my contract.

I sent them screen shots of the offer and because I booked a sailing after May 1st 2016 the rules change and you only get one offer.

 

To me this sound very much like the bait and switch at the local quicky used car sales lot.

Can you choose two promos on an already booked cruise without re-booking at the current rate?

 

Doubt it, but just thought I'd ask. Can't hurt.

I tried a couple of times to get thru to the casino booking group on hold and hour gave up then later on hold 90 minutes. Originally booked casino cruise with $50 dining credit-then was able to rebook for unlimited drink package-got the email today and was able to rebook for 4 nights specialty dining and drink package (had to pre pay tip) but well worth the hassle.

That is exactly what I was talking about. The front page AD did not say anything about those conditions. You have to go and search that information out.

Just as every informed customer should. I always learn as much as I can about a potential purchase regardless of what it may be. To draw a comparison, would you go buy a new car and get the first one you see because it looked nice? I doubt it. I bet you would learn a little about that nice looking car. Things like safety ratings, fuel economy, creature comforts, and the list goes on.

 

This is no different. You neglected to learn about the product offerings (reading the T&C) and are now upset because you different qualify for the promotion. This all could have avoided had you learned about the product before trying purchase.

Instead of the consumer being scolded, NCL should be. This confusion could have been avoided had NCL listed the applicable dates in plain view on the front of their promotional page. (There certainly was plenty of room). This is just another example of NCL not fully explaining the details.

 

Instead of making the dates that apply to a promotion clear to everyone, they elected to hide them elsewhere.

 

NCL's communications are what's wrong.

it was very evident on the ads and that u have to look first at sailings then check for the deal for 1 or 2 selections applied to. Not all sailings are eligible. While looking at one option of thousands it would be more user friendly if u knew ahead to 'hover' on the icon for the explanation, and other places.

No. It would need to be re-booked at the current rate and terms. Luckily my cruise had not gone up in price.
