SA71 Posted November 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 19, 2015 (edited) We paid 25 hr for 4 people in air conditioned taxi for a 1.5 hr tour of old town area. Driver later offered us $70 flat rate to stay with us all day (4-5 hr) and continue to golden zone, but we declined Edited November 19, 2015 by SA71

lovevacadays Posted November 20, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 20, 2015 If you just want to get to the Golden Zone and not have a tour with the taxi driver it should be under 10.00.

bonzijam Posted March 12, 2016 #10 Share Posted March 12, 2016 A pulmonia should be around 6 bucks. How and where would one catch a Palamino? Would it fit 4 adults? Would the driver be able to take us on a bit of a tour to downtown, especially the cathedral and see the divers, then take us to one of the Golden Zone beach areas? If so, about how much should we pay? Do they get tipped? I appreciate any advice on this.

There are some that have a 3rd seat. We took a tour of the city (except for the Gold Zone) in a pulmonia. For us, we did 1 hour for $20 plus tip. The Gold Zone is the hotel and AI area. It is geared to the tourist. Grab a taxi or pulmonia on the street. The ones in the port inside the gate are more expensive.
bonzijam Posted March 12, 2016 #12 Share Posted March 12, 2016 Thank you for your quick response and correction. We will seek our transportation outside the gated area. I'm thinking who ever we hire could take us to the beach for a while after the tour and pick us up at a designated time from the beach area to get us back to the ship. Excited to go!) casandbliz Posted January 14, 2018 #13 Share Posted January 14, 2018 A pulmonia should be around 6 bucks. Since this was posted 2 yrs. ago, for those of you that have been to Mazatlan recently, is this still the price we should be expecting?
shadowmeboy Posted January 15, 2018 #14 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Since this was posted 2 yrs. ago, for those of you that have been to Mazatlan recently, is this still the price we should be expecting? 100 pesos 2 weeks ago from cathedral area to port. That is about 6 usd.
