OrchidOne Posted November 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) Are there any specific limits to the number of bags, per passenger - and the weight of each bag? I searched RC web site and only found this subjective answer: Each guest is permitted to carry a reasonable amount of personal property (including luggage) aboard the vessel; however, for your comfort and convenience, it is recommended that you limit the number of pieces you take. We are not flying in, so I am not concerned with airline limits. Edited November 18, 2015 by OrchidOne

Rare island lady Posted November 18, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 18, 2015 That is the best thing about driving to a port....unlimited luggage options. Or perhaps that is the worst thing!! ;)

maureencruiser Posted November 18, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 18, 2015 Mine starts to feel like it weighs 200lbs until the cabins open at 1 o'clock  That's why I wait till the cabins are open before I board. I hate lugging those 2 bottles of wine around in my backpack, but, you know I'm too cheap not to bring them!:D
Thoie Posted November 18, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 18, 2015 I met a couple on a transatlantic a few years ago who were moving continent, and had most of their cabin full of bags and boxes. They tipped everyone well, including their cabin steward for the inconvenience. Each bag/box was easily carried/moved individually. But there wasn't a particular limit. Royal suggests a max of 3 bags somewhere else, but it's a suggestion rather than a rule.
aftop Posted November 18, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 18, 2015 I suggest nothing larger than the typical airline max size. This will fit easily under the bed allowing more room in the cabin.

You might get away with it, but per the contract, you are allowed only, "the wearing apparel and personal effects reasonably necessary for the cruise."
