Thank you so much! where can I find your blog?

Sorry, I'm not the blogger. The original poster, ncklhaus is. I'm on the Breakaway too and I'm just chiming in to help answer a few questions. The concierge is Anoop.

Have they done anything with the kids pool and removing the Nick characters?

Last night they started removing the Nick characters. As of this evening, the are all gone. They have replaced them with statues/water features of fish, dolphins, sea horses, and things like that. The small slide that had peeling paint is still there, but there are plans to replace it.

Hi - we're on the 1/31 sailing - wondering what day did you start to feel warm weather? We're having lake effect snow squalls today here in Pittsburgh and I so hope for good weather when we are driving to and from NY. Wish us luck!!!!

Is Martinique one of your ports of call? Wondering if you went there, and if you had issues using US currency. TIA

We are just now sailing away from Martinique and I was able to use US dollars at the markets right outside of the port.

Hi! Thanks for answering all our questions! Just a couple to add if you have time- do you know how long Anoop will be the concierge for? We are leaving in a few months and I hope he's still there :)

Also- what time did you arrive at port? And did you have any issues with finding the haven area for boarding or issues with boarding? I'm so used to the one in Miami and am nervous about NYC :)

When eating dinner in the Manhattan room- do people get up and dance in between courses? What type of attire are people wearing for dinner there?

Yes to dancing. It's lovely. The freestyle daily says that long pants for men are only required in Le Bistro and ocean blue after 5. Most are wearing resort casual. Shorts and collared shirts. Capris or skirts for ladies. I did see a family taking pictures in tuxedos and formal dresses one night. Totally the exception.

We just booked for June 2017 on this ship. I am sure they don't, but any chance that Mich Ultra is served on the ship? Wife would be so pleased.

:D

Thanks!

I am sailing in a Haven In Oct and would love to know as well how long he will be on board. Also I too am use to sailing out of Florida and am nervous about how long it will take to get to the port in Manhattan. I would love to know how earl I should arrive or if I can tour NY a few more hours before boarding.

We arrived at the port around 9:40 and the previous passengers were still disembarking. They had us waiting in line to go through security until around 10am when they started the screening process. There were 2 different security lines. Haven was to the left hand side. It moved really quickly once it got started. Once through the security screening, walk all the way towards the back of the terminal and on your right hand side you will see the Haven waiting area. You do your check in there. You will have your picture taken, give your credit card, and get your key cards there. They have coffee, tea, water, juice and snacks there as well. Once they clear the ship (by around 11:30), you will be escorted on and up to the Haven.

If you get there early, you can drop off your luggage and tour NY if you want but I enjoy hanging in the terminal and people watch. Plus if you have children, you can register them for Splash Academy in the terminal as well.

Hope that you are enjoying your cruise! Do you know if an iPad fits in the safe ? Thanks!

I don't have an iPad, but I brought our Kindles. They fit but I haven't locked them up in the safe. I only lock up our cash, jewelry, medicine, and passports.

A couple of questions....

1. Have you seen HP Sauce anywhere?

2. How much is the Vibe pass for 14 days and can you buy it for only 7 days?

Thank You

Yes I saw HP sauce in the garden cafe. I had never heard of it before. I guess it must be good. Is it like A1 sauce?

I know the al la carte menus haven't been implemented in the specialty restaurants yet, but are they using the new menus? I'm hoping to get some pizza one last time at La Cucina.

We ate a La Cucina last night and pizza was still on the menu. :D

Thank you for taking your time to answer questions. I read through your blog about the Breakaway and it was very helpful. Hope you are having a great time!

Thanks so much! We really are having a great cruise. Once I get home I will start on my next review. I've got over 1000 pictures so far. I had to slow down on the picture taking because my waterproof case for my phone wasn't really waterproof! It's drying out and I've been able to take more pictures again, but it's still acting a bit screwy.

Do they still have Lipton tea bags, regular and the great Apple cinnamin? (wht a question to ask) Is Prim on board?

I saw a large selection of tea bags in the garden cafe and also in O'Sheehan's. Only the regular and decaf Lipton was there, but there were a large assortment of other flavors of another brand which I am not remembering at the moment.

I know this is a lot to ask but is there any chance you could get a hold of the Teen Entourage schedule for a Bermuda sailing and post? Can't find one anywhere!

I can ask them in splash academy of they have one available.

Last January I noticed that the Breakaway began cutting back on some of the tea. I liked the Orange favored Lipton, but it was limited Jan 2015.

My question is "Who is performing in Fat Cats?" and in general, How's it going?

Denise -- Boarding Jan 17th.

Charlie Love and the Silky Smooth Band is in Fat Cats.

"Don't miss out on the delta inspired sounds and jam into the wee hours to some serious blues." 8:30p-12:30a, Fat Cats, Deck 8, Fwd
