david,Mississauga Posted February 10, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 10, 2016 Is this a British thing?:D I don't recall seeing anything like this in Canada. A well-known Canadian participated in this ritual in London. Ed Mirvish (better known in Toronto as Honest Ed) was awarded the OBE after restoring the Old Vic. He was also made a Freeman of the City of London and took advantage of the honour of being able to bring his sheep across London Bridge without charge. I can't find any photos on-line. I recall seeing it on television at the time. I believe Mr. Mirvish borrowed only one sheep for the walk.
