Just off brilliance this morning , driving home right now .

We had a great time ! Ship is in good condition

Crew seamed happy , Food was very good ( all windjammer) and room service .

And both pool tables were working !!! [emoji1]

(Not very well) but it was fun

Overall we had a blast and are booked for February 2017

Arrived at the terminal at 10:30. Onboard and in the Windjammer by 10:50 [emoji106] bought the premium beverage package ... No discounts for c & a.....they also had a table set up in the boarding area selling the various packages.... The line was long, so I purchased mine at the pool bar

 

 

 

Had to turn off Wifi.... Keeps prompting me to sign up for Internet package! [emoji23]

 

A beautiful sight! Will be on in 22 days!

Did they have a B2B lunch?

What is the process for B2B on turn around day.

 

i haven't done a B2B out of Tampa since the Jewel was there so i'm assuming some things may have changed.

So, out of curiosity, when did the C &A water that used to be Evian get replaced with this knock off brand? I don't mean to nit pick, but I used to swap these out for the tepid water bottles in the fridge, and just made sure I kept the same initial quantity in the fridge....guess I should remove the Evian....maybe there's an up charge over the Ice River Springs! 😂😂

Some ships have been using the off brands the entire time (and different brands of it), some have been using Evian.

Internet is meh....sporadic and slow best describes it....but with the D+ discount,it is free for me, so I really can't complain....

Tips, info and other observations from Day 1.....

 

- The boarding process is super quick (and early) in Tampa...we arrived around 10:30, and they were already calling boarding numbers as we were checking in.

 

- No pool waiters on deck until sail away, so the pool and sky bar were very crowded early. LOTS of people sporting beverage package stickers on their sea pass cards

 

- I m having to sign receipts for every beverage. Have been able to get bottled water and a alcoholic beverage at the same time.

 

- DD (who is 16) was able to get free internet also for this sailing. The preloaded coupons would not apply the D+ discount, but guest services was able to take care of it

 

- MDR menu last night was Mojo. The Prime Rib now how has new name. Slow roasted beef strip loin. AKA Prime Rib, apparently-- because it sure tasted the same....Very happy to see escargot on the menu every night! 👍

The cabin is quiet, no problems....a fair share of creaking though, the boat is moving around quite a bit, on and off, all day.

The Tampa photos are making me homesick. We moved from Clearwater in August 2014 and haven't been back down there since December 2014. Feeling a bit sad now all of a sudden.

 

But the good news is that we're flying down in 34 days, and we'll be on Brilliance for the 5 night KW/Cozumel itinerary as part of our trip.

 

Looking forward to reading and seeing the rest of your adventure.
