Some other nice dresses from that site:

This one I know is air, but the fabric is just dreamy.

Wow Laurie! I wonder who got your dress?

My surgery just got pushed to 13 Sep. Medicare wouldn't pay for the surgery at a surgical center so I have to go to the hospital (which I prefer), where they'll pay for it. My doc is putting in platinum implants (I'm allergic to titanium). I guess another couple of weeks isn't too bad. I'm going to be on a knee walker (non weight bearing) for 6 weeks now (instead of 3 [emoji30]) & crutches (ugh). Trying to drop another 10-15 lbs before then as I'll be inactive for awhile. Wish me luck! Melody

I decided since I've a few more weeks & it was very hot (98), but not windy that we'd do a little paddleboarding today IMG_1469741207.783399.jpg.5ba15fa9e9c4b648422ed22bf921574b.jpg. Les obviously agreed with my suggestion.

Paddleboarding sounds like a lot of fun! We aren't really near water so I can't say we do many water sports.

Our anniversary is today. Since we both worked and had our usual errands to run today, we decided to celebrate on Saturday instead. We have a new venue that opened near us called Movie Tavern. You can get dinner and a movie? So that is what we are going to do this Saturday. We're going to see Star Trek. Yup, we are trekkies.

Hopefully, we will have time to take a few things back to the mall! I'm going to look for that dress in the store, but JCP is having 25% off right now. The dress is on sale for $39.99 to begin with, and I think the discount was another $8.00. I really can't go wrong, if I like the dress and it fits good.

Happy Anniversary Laurie! Love the new photo. We had a Star Trek party with friends yesterday, four couples for a movie/dinner date. We have all been friends since our dating days, and miraculously no divorces among us. ::fingers crossed:: I think you will really enjoy the movie. Very fun and hair-raising to boot.

I have to say, I don't know if it's my eyes or my age or my expectations, but the action sequences these days are so fast and blurry that I can't really see what happens. Is it just me, or do they do that on purpose? I mean, I can kind of tell what's going on, but it's more through feeling and inference than actual seeing. I feel like an old fart.

Sally, I'll be interested to hear how you like that pink dress. I think, with a style like that, that the quality of the fabric will be very important.

I saw this article and it made me think of all of us with our various aches and injuries:

The recent Seasons in Transition catalog from Coldwater Creek had some nice EARTH items. I hope DH gets a job before fall because, among other obvious reasons, I really want this green (cactus) cardi set:

and this scarf in mallard blue goes perfectly with my packable down coat:

I am wondering if this is that neutral mushroom-like color that I like (dark desert khaki):

Hard-to-find orange sweater:

And this top in vanilla would go with many things in my wardrobe:

Things I don't really need, but I like:

This isn't EARTH, but it's the kind of cheat I can swing (with black skinny jeans and cool boots):

http://www.coldwatercreek.com/noname/millefleurs-crochet-trim-tunic/10423.html

I just love this color Meadow Green, but I wonder if IRL it's more AIR:

I have a necklace similar to this, though not as pretty, and it works well to bridge an EARTH top with black pants:

That's all my armchair shopping for the day!

Just an aside, DH got a big consulting gig yesterday so we are set for awhile. :) And my dad's cancer consultation got moved to late August so now I can have a social life (everything was on hold until we had a date).

Margaret, I'm going to have to look at C Creek. Love the swing cardigan

Here's a little of what we dealt with yesterday & more expected today We were lucky & didn't have damage yesterday ImageUploadedByForums1469834160.123613.jpg.ac4a491a2775d1a7dda1b9d0ed6eeac2.jpg. Melody. This is hail after being on the ground for over 7 hours

Bizarre is definitely the word, this storm hit at 11pm. Very unusual for here. We are normally very dry (high desert after all) but today (@ 7:45 am is 92 degrees & 90% humidity. So when did CO move to Boston in the summer? Expecting more major storms this weekend. We're battening down the hatches. Think it's time for me to go shopping! Melody

Melody, if you're going to shop CC, be sure to read the reviews for sizing. They were much more true to size when they were B&M. I also check for comments that the fabric is too thin, like for t-shirts.

I love so many of those things, Margaret. I got a twin set (sort of) from Loft for a great price in that same green. The cardigan is a V neck and the shell has a lace overlay and more of a scoop neck. I love the color. That rusty orange sweater is great.

Woohoo!

I'm going to Siesta Key for four days in September to see my sister. The following week I'm going with DH to Miami Beach for a long weekend (he has a conference). So, I have something to plan and obsess over. :D

Well, I got to Tuesday a Morning 2 hours after they opened & bought the last Travelon purse they had!ImageUploadedByForums1470056967.332542.jpg.6137052d6e275cf1aea1eb14332b5ad0.jpg. I was pretty happy with the colors. It's cream, black & same burgundy as my Athleta skort. It will immediately go into use!

We also decided that we both needed a lobster roll & with no appointments in August we decided to drive to Boston for several weeks & get a few! We'll also attend our mini class reunion BBQ this Sat & a week on Squam Lake

Margaret, love Siesta Key! Yay for you!
