Jewel - Cabin 8524 questions

Hi! So excited!!! Just booked our first RCI cruise, specifically cabin 8524 on Jewel of the Seas. (I searched but found nothing, as well as nothing on the Sticky cabin thread.) A couple questions about the cabin....

 

(1) Any good or bad comments on the cabin? Noise, location, etc

(2) Is the bed or the sofa by balcony?

All of the beds are in the same place on this ship...near the bathroom hallway. You shouldn't have any undue noise. can't help what happens in the hallway!

Bed is near the balcony.

Thanks for the replies. :) DH and I prefer by the bed by the balcony, but either way we are still on a cruise!!!!!!

When we were there 7 years ago there were many taxi vans near the dock offering tours of the Rock and the town for 15GBP or 20 euros per person so the above seems very expensive even after this number of years. DW and I were grouped together with four others and had a great tour including feeding the Barbary apes which are really monkeys.
