euro cruiser Posted March 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2016 The smartest and safest thing to do is purchase directly from the source, rather than pay extra to a middleman, unless you are looking for an entire tour and not just the entry ticket. You can purchase tours at the Colosseum itself. The direct ticket office is here: http://www.coopculture.it/en/colosseo-e-shop.cfm
saphir Posted March 7, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted March 7, 2016 on this site, the ticket is good for two days and there's no time reserved., can we avoid the file anyway?
euro cruiser Posted March 7, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2016 The ticket is good for two days and covers three sites, the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. You can only enter each site once. The ticket allows you to wait on the ticket holders line, but there is still a wait as everyone must go through security. So if I buy the tickets from the Colosseum on line site, do I print them off and then just go straight to the security check queue. Don't mind waiting in line for the check, but I'd like to skip the ticket queue which can get very long at times. :) W

John Bull Posted March 8, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 8, 2016 (edited) Don't mind waiting in line for the security check, but I'd like to skip the ticket queue which can get very long at times. :) W Yep. That's the whole point of getting your tickets in advance.:) No, the ticket lines at the Colosseum aren't always long. Sometimes they're long, sometimes they're looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong. If you don't buy in advance, get them five minutes up the road at the entrance to Palatine Hill, where the line is usually short. Montaname Posted March 12, 2016 #10 Share Posted March 12, 2016 If you purchase your entry ticket online, how do you get the audio guide equipment? Is that another line?
Rare cruisemom42 Posted March 12, 2016 #11 Share Posted March 12, 2016 Is there a savings by buying in advance? No, no savings. In fact, you usually pay more (due to added service fees).
Jade Cruise Posted March 12, 2016 #12 Share Posted March 12, 2016 we would like to do the underground and 3rd level tour. Can the entry ticket and tour ticket all be bought on line together? I have been accessing the official website but it looks like it is not yet possible to buy tickets for our date (June) at present. thanks.
