Rare Essiesmom Posted March 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Your first priority should be itinerary. Ports visited, and time in port. Then look at the cost of the cabin. Most cruise lines are going to charge per cabin for two, not cabin for one. So in effect, you are paying double - your single supplement is 200% of the fare for one person. You may occasionally find a cruise line or sailing that charges less. October is beyond the peak tourist season, so you might be able to get a break...EM
Dunnik Posted March 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Hi, I am planning a trip tp Barcelona in October. Any suggestions re cruise line for first time solo cruise? There seems to be so many options. The main CruiseCritic website has numerous articles on solo cruising. They've been very helpful to me as I plan my own solo cruise. Here are the search results for "solo": http://www.cruisecritic.com/search/results.cfm?q=solo
diane.in.ny Posted March 28, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Some cruise lines have cabins specifically meant for single travelers. I think NCL is one but I'm not sure. Your best route might be finding a TA who specializes in cruises.
