I'm out of "space" on my signature line at this point and can't even add any more reviews of the ships or the ports. :mad:

I have no idea if it would make any difference, but have you tried editing your "signature" by changing font and/or size of all your text within the signature? Maybe worth a try if the space is not soley # of characters driven?!

At different points, I have tried everything. All the links are even done with using tiny urls instead as well.

Or simply ditch the double spacing between paragraphs. That right there would cut it in half.

Nope, that didn't work. I eliminated all the spacing in between each cruiseline and the ports and it wouldn't even let me type my latest review "Conquest" <--- without the link, just the words. It still says "Your signature cannot be longer than 4000 characters including BB code markup"

Bummer. Well, if it includes the BB code, you can eliminate a lot of that by using 1 font size for the whole signature, and only applying BB code for font size at the very beginning and the very end. That will help a little.

There's nothing in it that I see for the BB code. The fonts are all the same size. :(

I just want to take a moment to thank NightOne and Mitsugirly for the reviews and links. I'm new to this forum and one of the first things I found last week was a post where Mitsugirly posted and mentioned the links in her signature. I am booking one of my Bermuda excursions based on her excellent and detailed feedback from one of those links. (Renting a boat from H2O sports!)

They should drop you off at the start of that particular topic and not at the very beginning of the review. Is that the part broken now?

Yep, it's just going to the top of the page and not being dropped off at the first post for that topic. :(

OK, I got a chance to look into this today and I'm guessing that Cruise Critic upgraded from vBulletin 4 to vBulletin 5 or something like that and that method is not longer supported. However, it looks like an easy fix.

 

Whereas before you had as an example: (this is Maya Key)

so basically you just need to copy the number after the = sign, add "#post" to the end of it and then paste that number in again. Then you have to run them through the URL shortener again.
