What kind of room are you in, and how many people are staying in it? Most of the rooms that will hold one (a lot of the insides and ocean views) already have them under the bed. The room steward will know how many people are staying in the room and will make up the correct number of beds each night.

My mother and her three sisters are staying In a Mini-suite on the gem. They booked the suite thinking it sleeps 4 and while it technically does she was just told that it's the pull out couch that sleeps two. They all would like their own beds which is why they booked this cabin to begin with.

If the cabin sleeps 4, then the fold out couch is for one, and there should be a pull down bed for the other.

There is no pull down bed in the mini suite. The couch sleeps two. In answer to the OP there is no place to put another bed, even if there were one available (which is unlikely).

That's nuts. They should downgrade to a regular balcony so they can have separate beds.
