First guests have arrived and already using the pool! Some facilities are yet to open (pool tiki bar, etc.) and we will post reviews/photos when things are in full swing.

I think Homewood Suites will be very popular here near Port Canaveral. More photos and reviews are being uploaded on our Port Canaveral information site here.

POOL!!

Love Homewood Suites and will definitely be looking in to this one when we next manage to cruise from Port Canaveral. From other pics I've seen of it recently, it's a little more colourful than a typical Homewood Suites as well.

Is there a free shuttle to the port?

I'd like to know this too. Are there things to do locally that is withing walking distance? We are thinking about flying in a day early and hanging out at the hotel.

We are working on publishing more information about the Homewood Suites. Most current information, map and photos are here.

You can see the rates on the hotel website - look for PARK STAY AND GO packages.

Basically, the port shuttle is included for 2 persons when on a package. Extras are $5 per person each way. They use 888-Transport for shuttles and those depart the hotel at 9:45am, 10:30am and 11:15am (currently). See link above for photo of the shuttle.

On-site parking is included in the package for up to 7 nights. Otherwise it is $6 per night.

You can walk to several restaurants nearby - Zachary's, Preacher Bar, Kelsey's and Thai Thai. You can buy wine at Racetrac, and play minigolf nearby.

this is across the street from the Residence Inn (and Hertz) on A1A

so search older posts about eating etc for the area and same applies

on the bad side, this is on the north side of A1A ... right were the Beachline ends and becomes A1A .... the places to eat etc are on the other side of the road. BE VERY CAREFUL CROSSING .... traffic from the west is going 60++ and altho SHOULD be slowing down ......

One might note that this location make HS on the same side of A1A as the port COVE places ..... I still would not recommend walking . . . .

{footnote about 'the Cove' .... folks familiar with the area may remember the BIG plans to built this area up significantly. Local news has been reporting that by mutual agreement the developer and the port have dropped the whole thing .... appears they were not having the doors beaten down by folks wanting to move in ....}

  • 3 weeks later...

The link for Homewood doesn't work. Says there is nothing there. The Port Canaveral site has nothing. Is Homewood supposed to be part of the 40% voucher program too?

There's been some changes! This one works:

http://cruiseportcanaveral.us/homewoodsuites/

Hotel website is a bit slow at times...

I believe they recently became a 40% partner yes!
