Hi all, I live in Sitka so feel free to ask questions.

I would like to state that the bridge that is being talked about is in downtown, not sure how that isn't walkable even with disabilities. We have people that scooter across the bridge several times a day. Without disabilities everything in this town is within walking distance except the Fortress of the Bears and the terminal as they are both at opposite ends of the road system basically. But I have seen tourists walk both.

Welcome to our quaint little town :)

Hopefully you'll never find out from personal experience.

Thanks very much for your input from a personal perspective! Are they still working on the Cultural Arts Center at Crescent Harbor?

Where exactly is the cruise ship dock? Halibut Point?

Here's a map that shows the route from the dock to town.

The ship will dock at Halibut Marine.

It's an interesting and comfortable set up. The bus drivers are easy going and quick to share info about their home. Ride is about 15 minutes.

Hope this helps!
