Refrigerator in Ocean View Room

I have some medication that I need to take with me

on my cruise. It needs to be stored in a refrigerator.

Is a small refrigerator allowed in the cabin?

Most ships already have a small ref BUT most are just "chillers" and don't keep things super cold.

if the cabin doesn not already come equipped with a refrigerator, special needs department can help you get one placed in your cabin. They are available on ships just for that purpose.

depending on the temperature needed for the medication, I would NOT trust the coolers (named fridge) that is in the rooms. Guest services can keep them cool or you can use ice but I would not rely on the cooler in the room

Which ship?

Fantasy class, Sunshine and maybe one other do not have in cabin fridges.

 

As others have said they just keep things cool, in the mid 60s. With the cabinet door propped open (with a towel) can get it cooler.

 

Can contact special needs for a medical fridge but this will use your outlet. Can get an adapter to use the 220 for your other stuff. The type of outlet, British or Euro depends on which ship.

 

Can store meds at medical, retrieving them during hours.

 

Invest in a Frio or use quick cold packs and an insulated thermos.

If you are talking about the Victory cruise that is in your signature than I am thinking there is no refrigerator or minibar.

When I checked the suites on the Empress Deck they list a minibar. So I guess there isn't one in the ocean view cabins since it is not listed.

I have used the refrigerator in rooms to keep my meds enbrel cool. It seems to do the job. It's cool when I take it out to use.

That is great as long as your cabin has a refrigerator/minibar. But as mentioned in previous posts there are several ships where the only cabins that have the frig/minbar are the suites.
