Rules on prescription meds?

It is also a good idea to get copies of your written prescriptions and pack them some place other than where you pack your meds.

It's a good idea also to pack your meds in your carryon luggage/purse/briefcase along with other essential items, heres more on that:

I would say yes, but I really don't know if they check. Of course if the feds board and want to have a "find the right cabin" drug bust, it woud be good to have the right container. Dh has tons of pills he has to take a day, and has never had anyone check, but his are in the bottles.

Hi Stoneharborlady,
Yes your medications must be in the original container, with the directions how to take them. Its also a good idea to have copies of the written prescription!!

Happiness is being on a cruise!!

Mine were checked once because of a needle being found. I'm diabetic so it is ok for me to carry needles. I had a note from my doctor with the list of meds I take, when and amounts. This is good practice in case you run in to trouble and can not speak for yourself. I also wear a Medic Alert braclet.
