galelynn Posted August 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2016 We are non smoker and have a Lido deck cabin starboard side, for a upcoming cruise. Does anyone know where the permitted smoking area is? Thank you in advance.
SteveH2508 Posted August 20, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2016 Main one is right at the stern on deck 17 from memory. Other (seldom used one) is starboard side at the back on deck 7 (and cigar lounge on deck 6).

There are automatic doors, then the elevators and then the cabins. You should not be effected by this at all. Just don't walk on the side of the ship that is designated for the smokers....walk on the opposite side. :)
Colo Cruiser Posted August 20, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 20, 2016 Main one is right at the stern on deck 17 from memory. Other (seldom used one) is starboard side at the back on deck 7 (and cigar lounge on deck 6). We found deck 7 aft promenade was well used by the crew. There was a crew door right there and they were in and out in droves all day long. We used the loungers out there all the time.

Outdoor smoking on the Royal is limited to a few (maybe three if I remember correctly) specific small areas, none that will affect any Lido deck cabin. The largest area is the terrace on deck 17 all the way aft. Indoors smoking is permitted in parts of the casino, which is smoke free some nights, and in the cigar lounge. Late night there may also be smoking in a section of Club 6.
