Formal photos

As many times as we have cruised, we never had formal pics taken. Do you have to make an appointment or just go and stand in line? What is the protocol? Sailing Freedom in October with family of 14 for 50th anniversary and it's a chance to have everybody in the picture. Thanks for your help

We've always just gotten in line. They usually have a few different backdrops set up around bigger gathering areas.

 

Take them in a few, and then pick and choose what you like!

Either. Both formal nights and one other night a selection of backgrounds are available to coincide with dinner hours. You simply choose which ones to stand in front if for 2-3 quick shots. You can also request a private studio session( not sure of the cost, if any for this service). Once we saw a VERY large family group( easily 50 people) all dressed in red getting a group photo done by the Centrum stair case.

 

The backgrounds will not be large enough to hold everyone at once. But the staircase will and possibly one other location.

That depends. If you're talking one of the photo stations they have set up throughout the ship, just get everyone together and stand in line.

 

They also have a photo studio where they do "professional" photos (whatever that means....I haven't tried it). For that you make an appointment.
