My wife (25 yr old female) and I (33 yr old male) just returned from the October 16th sailing on Liberty of the Seas. I'm not going to do a full blown review but will answer any questions that I knowledgeably can. I do not have the cruise compasses or the menus. Formal nights were Monday and Friday. Drink cards may have been offered late in the cruise but I didn't see them or look for them. Mattress topper was requested several months ahead of time and was placed on bed prior to arrival so I can confirm they do have them. Any other questions let me know and I'll do my best to answer them.

Booked for 11/6. Did you try the water slides?

Neither me or my wife tried out the slides. We did visit the area and watch people try out the flowrider and the slides are right there. There never seemed to be much of a line or crowd for the slides during times we went on sea days. There also didn't appear to be many children at all on this sailing.

We sailed Liberty in May. Our adult children used the slides and enjoyed them.

The longest line I saw was 10 minutes. There were certain times of the day, early morning and late afternoon when the lines were almost non existent. I do not remember the times of day the slides are operational.

It seemed one slide was faster than the other. I don't remember which one. My two sons had running races and the one slide would consistently win.

They do have a clock at the bottom of the slide to show your elapsed time. I'm not sure how accurate it is.

Chris :)

We requested a mattress topper through special needs. There had been a lot of talk about if Liberty of the Seas had these. Rumors were saying they no longer had them because of a bed bug breakout and they were just adding an extra comforter on the bed. We had a egg crate foam mattress topper, approximately 2"-3" thick. There were two separate pieces to cover both the separate beds or the whole bed when placed together.

Hi there, hope you had fun. Can you tell me if there was any entertainment in the pub? And do you recall the bands that played Boleros and at the pool? thanks!

I may actually have a couple of the compasses at the house so I would be able to provide the entertainment information when I get off of work. The couple times we were in the Hoof and Claw Pub it was karaoke and on the Pool Deck it was a Caribbean type Royal Caribbean House band, L'Elments or something along those lines. I'll get back with you on this.

Why hire entertainment when you can just put Karaoke in every venue around the ship? This is the 2nd report of karaoke in the pub, just shows they really are pinching pennies.

I am pretty sure they didn't fire any of the staff dedicated to shoving the drink packages and specialty dining in your face for the entire week.

Did you play any table games in the casino? Back in July all the min were $10 including craps. Can you comment if they have lowered them to $5?

They have low limit times from 12-1, that's when I played for $5 blackjack. I usually stuck to $1 roulette though. 12-1 was also $1 mimosas in the casino.

We were on the 10/9 cruise - how late were you in departing on the 16th? Hopefully, we took good enough care of Liberty for you! :)

Since y'all were late getting in, we were able to start boarding the ship right around 2:00, muster at 5:15, sail away a bit before 6:00pm. Rooms were ready around 3-3:30.

Thanks for answering my question. Do you have the email address? Thanks

The crew sounds like they did an awesome job turning and burning! I think the last passengers on our cruise were scheduled off just after 1pm! I was glad to see the lights of the Mexican Coast at night - the circumstances WHY we got to see them were not good - I'm glad Captain Johnsen made the correct decision to turn around and get that man the needed medical attention.

Did they have the show Now you see it on this cruise? They have said that it will be on our 11/6 cruise and I am wondering and hoping it is the same show we saw few years ago. Was great

I don't recall that one, if it was it wasn't a headliner.

I forgot that in the Hoof and Claw Pub from 10:00-10:45pm for a few nights there was a Guitar and Vocal Duet with Matt and Laine

Boleros was Manolelito from 7-8 then Azucar from 9:30-late

Phil Anderson in Schooner

Bubba Feathers Band played a few nights at Star Lounge

A couple different DJs poolside and in Olive or Twist
