Does Jimmy K mean Jimmy Kovel as being the Cruise Director on the Wind? How long will be he be on this ship and what will be his assignment in or around June 2017? Jimmy was the CD on the Silver Cloud for our first sailing with Silversea. Nice guy who does a good job. Appreciate your details and update. Keep up the great sharing!

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Slightly surprised to find a letter from the Captain in the suite last night apologising for the ongoing a/c problems and giving every suite a non refundable $300 on board credit.

We know there has been a big problem with one main sector, with nowhere to move people. Some have been sleeping on their balconies, one or two on the pool deck and one guy in the library.

This is not quite as bad but getting closer to the disastrous a/c problems on the Cloud in 2011.

We were on that trip. Now that refund was like winning the lottery!

Good evening Silver Spectre!

Great meeting you onboard the Silver Wind. We enjoyed our cruise very much. We thought the food was outstanding. Chef Ross did an awesome job. Our dinner in La Champagne was 5 star from service, food and presentation.

Yes, we did have a small problem with the AC but it was unbearable for us and it was only for a couple of nights. Crew was amazing as always on Silversea. It's the amazing, warm, welcoming crew that keep us coming back to Silversea again and again.

Look forward to hearing from you soon to chat about your upcoming Silversea voyage to the Philippines. As you know, we did it last year and LOVED it especially Puerto Princessa and Coron.

Best to you and Mrs. Silver Spectre.

Regards,

ScottToronto

Thanks Scott, it was great to meet you and your family.

We had an interesting exit from the Wind. A couple of days before the end of the cruise it transpired that we were the only 2 guests looking for a direct transfer to Miami airport, so the GRM asked us if we would like to join the post cruise SS transfer with a day room at the Marriott Harbor Beach for the same consideration. We said yes please.

It turned out this involved just us and a Scottish couple going home from Miami on a later flight. So we got a Mercedes van transfer to the hotel, a day room, and then a limo transfer to the airport.

Once again thanks SS and the wonderful Wind on board team for coming up trumps.
