JingleJane Posted December 31, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2016 Hi! My best friend and I will be going to Nassau for a full day in about a week. We will be there from 8-5. We are trying to decide on a beach but we really can't decide what would be best for us. Neither of us will be swimming much, we just love the views of a beach. We are looking for a beach with bar/drink access that won't break the bank. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks! Raph_Canada Posted December 31, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2016 I visited Junkanoo Beach in August 2017. It was a quick walk from the ship and we paid $60 for 3 people for unlimited drinks and it came with deck chairs and umbrella this was from the Tiki Bikini Hut...there were activities and the drinks were very very good... WMassCruisers Posted January 1, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 1, 2017 The $60 that you paid for unlimited drinks....did you do that directly at the beach or did you buy this elsewhere?
Raph_Canada Posted January 1, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 1, 2017 Directly at the beach...as you approach there is a guy there that manages it all and he sets you up. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
cruiseapril Posted January 2, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 2, 2017 We like going to the Melia on Cable Beach. Have been to Cabbage Beach and have seen Junkanoo. Much prefer Cable. The Melia has beach bars, big pools, and a good beach view. There are other resorts on Cable Beach such as Breezes and Sandals. They all have websites. Clipsy01 Posted October 8, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 8, 2017 Sounds like Cable is a great but no restrooms. Deal breaker for us and our party. Been to Cabbage beach twice and its decent but just trying to find something new.

scubagirrl Posted October 9, 2017 #8 Share Posted October 9, 2017 How can there be no restrooms at Melia or are you just looking for a public beach? Melia has restrooms for guests and day pass holders. The public beach next door does not have restrooms and does not have access to the hotel amenities. Saunders Beach, which is at the east end of Cable Beach, has restrooms, but the views are not very nice.
Clipsy01 Posted October 11, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 11, 2017 Our last visit was to cabbage and it was fine. We were just looking for something different but doesn't look like anything else fits our needs. We are not interested in spending money to get a day pass.
