Access to iron!

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get access to an iron onboard the Gem or do you have to send items to the laundry? May be looking a bit dishevelled if I can't lol

Your steward should be able to loan you one.

You could also look up some packing guides that advise rolling your clothes.

Ask the steward for an iron and ironing board. But please use them asap and get them returned also asap as there are not many available.

You can get an iron and ironing board from your room steward. They will come back, shortly, to collect the iron since it is a fire hazard and they will not let you keep it.

You might want to consider the 50% off pressing fee that some ships (Escape, Epic and Pearl that I recall) offer the first day.

Bring a wrinkle spray. It works great. I too used to iron on vacation. No more since I discovered the spray.

Not having an iron is the only thing about a cruise that gives me anxiety. lol

Yes, just as others have said your room steward can hook you up. But what I did our past cruise was invest in a steamer. These are 100% completely allowed in your stateroom. Our room steward would even wrap my cord up and store it for me if I didn't pick it up before leaving for dinner. I purchased mine from Wal-Mart for under $25.00. No wrinkles is a necessity for me...lol.

Thanks for the advice everyone - I'm going to investigate a steamer & wrinkle spray too.
