When we were done snorkeling and the boat brought us back to the dock, Jane told me to be aware of the guys in the port area. They have these little monkeys and they put them on you and take a picture. Then they want money from you. She says that they can sometimes get aggressive trying to get cash from you. Well....we were walking back towards the pier and here comes a man with a monkey. He asks if I want pictures with Melissa and the monkey. I say "Thank you but I don't have any cash on me." His response: "No problem. Let's take the pictures anyway. Your daughter smiling is payment enough." Just wow!

And then this!

The monkey was so cute. He was wearing a teeny tiny diaper. He liked the beads on my hat.

We walked around in the port area for a little bit and then headed back on the ship to shower.

As we were walking back we heard this really loud rumble. It sounded like motorcycles. A lot of motorcycles! There must have been 30 of them all going to the Celebrity ship. It was a amazing sight.

Since this was our last port stop, NCL was having a Welcome Back party. They had the music blasting. They were dancing on the dock, having a great time when the skies opened up. It was a deluge. The DJ had a great sense of humor and started playing "It's Raining Men".

You can see some of the rain in the reflection in the windows of the Celebrity ship.

After dinner I took Melissa to Splash Academy. I went to the casino for a little bit and walked around the ship for a while. The ship was starting to rock a bit. The Captain had told us were were going to be sailing into a system and it was going to get rough overnight.

Anyway, people post on these boards about how smoky the casino can get. Yes, it does get smoky. But they have these machines strategically placed to help keep it tolerable. In my opinion, it works. But if you are sitting at a slot machine next to someone puffing away on a cigarette, it's not going to do much. I can't tell you how many times I had smoke puffed into my face. Gross.

I picked Melissa up and we headed up to Spice H20 for the GLOW party. I actually did a FB live post from the party. The Internet onboard works great.

The seas were really picking up. Through the night they got worse and worse. It was hard to walk. The waves were 20 feet and they just kept coming, they were relentless. The ship was hauling at 21 knots trying to get through the rough weather.

I was in bed and I was getting rocked to the left, then I felt like I was getting pulled down into the bed, then rocked to the right, and then I was weightless. It was like this for hours. Over and over. Up, down, left, right. Several times per minute:eek:

I'm enjoying your review so much, the snorkeling photos are wonderful. And the food pics are making me drool! I have a friend who goes on those motorcycle cruises, she and her husband love them. They have escorted rides at every port of call.

Wishing you well and keeping your family in my prayers.

I am really trying to finish up this review soon. I'm sorry for dragging it out so long. I have 89 pictures left of the actual cruise that I am currently uploading but for some reason it is taking FOREVER!! Plus I have the rest of the dailies to post to finish the "formal" review. Once I'm done with that, I will get the extraneous, yes I said extraneous, pictures of our cruise to share with you. And if I can, I will share the videos I filmed as well. I have videos of our 2 Bedroom Haven Suite, the Haven Courtyard, the Haven Hallways, the Haven Sun deck, the Pool Deck, the GLOW party, various entertainment venues, sail aways, and so much more. Some of my sail away videos have direct views into the bridge. So cool if I don't say so myself.

Once the hosting site catches up to me, you will see it. :D

I was wondering about the motorcycles. It looked so cool!. Maybe someday...

I still have a few more days of food pictures, but I have to admit that after all these days we were getting tired of eating. It is was like "we have to eat again?" By day 10 or 11, we were really not looking for full meals anymore. An appetizer or small bite would have been perfect.

Thank you for thinking of my family. It's so strange, but my dad is feeling better and getting stronger every day. He had 5 radiation treatments to his left hip. That's where all of his pain was. You couldn't touch him, not even a little bit. But a few days ago, my mom woke up to find him sleeping on his left side. And then later that day, she walked into the living room and saw him on the floor. He was putting fresh carpet tape under the carpet runner that went from the living room to the kitchen. He was able to get up and down off the floor like he used to. It's unbelievable. I know it's only temporary, but I'll take it.

Love your review! Can't wait to read the rest.

Sorry about all of the illnesses in your family, though. When it rains, it pours. Hope you guys have better days ahead!

I had mentioned that the weather was getting rough. Well, it was the worst I had ever experienced. I was sick. So very sick. I couldn't get out of bed except to vomit. We were getting battered. The waves were 20 feet high and coming fast. There was no lull. Over and over, it was up, down, left, right, up, down, left, right. Weightless, then sucked down into the bed.

Closets were opening and then slamming shut. Glasses were falling from the shelves. I was miserable.

Mike and Melissa were OK though. What the heck? They were feeling it, but they weren't having such a hard time with it. A week before we were leaving on this cruise, I had a severe bout of vertigo so that's probably why it hit me so badly.

I was stuck in bed for a full 24 hours. I didn't eat, I barely drank anything. Mike and Melissa spent quality time together and ordered room service a bunch of times and watched movies together. Our Butler brought in a big bucket of popcorn for them. They wound up with a really great Daddy-Daughter Date Day.

The Captain updated us on the weather situation a few times throughout the day. He was honest with us that it was going to be a rough few days. By evening it was starting to get better. It was still rocky, but not nearly as bad.

The following morning, I was finally feeling well enough to venture out of the room.

Day 12, January 13 2017, Sea Day

By 10am the following day I was feeling much better. The seas were still fierce and the outside decks were closed, but it was better.

Our Butler Roland had brought a lot of popcorn to the room the previous day. This is what was left.

We went shopping in the Jewelry Store. I'll show you pictures of what Mike bought us, but let's just say we are lucky ladies. The casino was pretty good to us.

The Captain stopped by and Melissa got a picture with him. What a really nice man.

Today they had Family Fun Carnival in the Atrium. The Splash Academy staff taught everyone how to spin plates, juggle, use a Chinese yo-yo, and Devil sticks. I was pretty good at the Devil sticks and juggling. Melissa was good at everything!

Since we told our room steward not to do anything in our room yesterday, he made a towel animal early.

I took a picture of the O'Sheehan's bar food menu. Melissa and I played darts. I kicked her butt. LOL
