Breakaway 13 Day Southern Caribbean Review with lots of pictures (plus Haven) again

By 2pm the seas and wind were calming down. The decks had been closed due to high winds, but now they were open.

 

 

 

 

 

People were even back in the main pool, but the children's pool was still closed. The Splash area was open.

We went to the arcade to waste some money, I mean, time. We stopped at Margaritaville so I could get a Feeling Hot Hot Hot Margarita and we bumped into one of our favorite crew, Marion aka Armi. She was leaving for vacation when the cruise was over.

We were back in the room by 3:30 and the Butler had brought snacks.

These next few pictures show that the seas were still a bit rocky. The waves weren't as bad and they weren't coming as fast. And the sky and clouds looked pretty cool.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Melissa decided to buy a can of Pringles in the gift shop. It's not like we had anything to eat in the room. LOL

We exchanged information and have been fb friends with many of the crew. It's really nice to continue the friendships.

At 6pm in the Garden Buffet they had cupcake decorating.

 

 

The whipped cream is ridiculously delicious!

 

 

 

 

 

Melissa said it was fun to decorate the cupcakes, but she didn't like how they tasted. Only the whipped cream was good.

After cupcake decorating, we ate a little bit from the buffet and then Melissa wanted to go to Splash Academy again.

After dropping Melissa at Splash Academy on Deck 12, I went up to deck 16 to meet Mike in the Haven lounge for a drink before we went to dinner ourselves.

We went back to the Raw Bar. Sandy was really good to us again.

 

 

 

 

 

Then it was back to the room. We found this little guy on our bed

the cupcake thing is rather simple. its at the back of the buffet. they move tables and WILL kick others off them cause they need the tables. then when it opens you stand in line and the staff asks you what toppings you want. they put them all on the plate and the kids go to tables and assemble. its short and a bit underwhelming but still a nice thing to do. and free

Day 13, January 14th, Last Sea Day

 

I was up bright and early hand headed to Tradewinds to pick up paperwork for our purchases. In case you were wondering when it is open, here you go

 

 

Melissa went to Splash Academy this morning and again after lunch. Today was the children's performance in the Theatre at 3pm

The weather still wasn't great but it wasn't horrible either. It was still a bit rocky. People were still sunbathing and swimming.

We went to the Haven restaurant for dinner, but honestly we were getting tired of eating. I don't even have any pictures from dinner.

 

Melissa was going to the last night's Splash Academy event, the Pajama Party. But first we hit the buffet. I know, I just said we were tired of eating by we wanted one last pass through. LOL

 

It was then that we hit the crepe station. Well, Melissa did. I just had some fruit.

While Melissa was at the Pajama party I got our suitcases packed and ready to go and then I went to the casino for one last try. I had a bunch of vouchers that I wanted to either cash or play out.

After all was said and done, we left this cruise up. As a matter of fact, when we got home I emailed Casino at Sea to check what we would get for our casino play because we wanted to book December 15-22 for our 15th wedding anniversary. They would comp us an ocean view cabin! We booked it and paid the difference to go back in to our favorite Haven 2 Bedroom Suite. We will be renewing our vows on December 19th hopefully on Great Stirrup Cay.

Before I wrap up this review, I wanted your opinion. One of the days early in the cruise I realized I could take screenshots of the iconcierge app. So I have probably around 100 of them and it gives a great idea of what the app can do. My question is: Do I post all of the screenshots here or create another thread with them? If I create another thread, I would add a link in my signature to them. Your input is really appreciated. Hi JoAnn - I wanted to say thank you for sharing your adventure with us once again.

 

I also wanted to wish your family the best to get past the health issues. I lost my brother this past summer to cancer, they couldn't tell if it started in the stomach or colon so they just called it stage 4 and he was gone within a month of them finding it. So count every day with your father a blessing. Also have your husband get checked and look into having his gall bladder removed. I had mine taken out and it made a world of difference. I can really understand it causing issues on the cruise because of the richness of the food they serve.

 

Anyway I hope you guys are all well and past everything by the time you do your anniversary cruise.
