jty1220 Posted February 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2017 We are going on our first cruise with our son and I have a few questions. We will be on a 4 night Majesty and we would like to bring our stroller to help him take a nap (Possibly) Does Coco Cay have any sidewalks or is it all sand? Does anybody have any recent pictures from the kids water area on the ship ? I cant seem to find any good ones. Would it be possible to walk to Atlantis from the port? Do you need to reserve the kids programs a head of time? This will be our first time on Majesty any tips? Thanks
Ourusualbeach Posted February 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2017 Atlantis is too far to walk. It's $4 pp each way for a taxi or water taxi.
Clarea Posted February 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2017 Walking to Atlantis is possible, but it's a long walk, probably 2-3 miles. I'd plan on a regular taxi or water taxi. Cost is around $4pp, one-way.
Snit13 Posted February 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2017 If you sign in on Port Fever and select Port of Nassau, you will be able to see how far it is from where ships dock to Atlantis. Not even in my younger days would I have walked that far. You might want to ask your child friendly questions on the family board/thread. You should receive the answers you seek. If I was asking about kids programs on Majesty of the Seas, I would expect far better answers here in the Royal forum.
alfaeric Posted February 8, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 8, 2017 Walking to Atlantis is possible, but it's a long walk, probably 2-3 miles. It's actually just under 2 miles- we've run it many times. It's a mile to the foot of the first bridge. And you don't have to walk outside to the main resort entrance (the one you see on all of the ads)- there's one pretty close to the end of the other side of the bridge. The real hard part of the walk is the bridge- it's pretty darned steep, and on a hot day, well....
Pellaz Posted February 9, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 9, 2017 Would it be possible to walk to Atlantis from the port? Possible, yes; recommended, no. I'd suggest a land taxi there. BTW, there isn't too much you'll be allowed to see at Atlantis without purchasing an excursion there. You are allowed to walk through the casino but will be stopped by security before entering the Royal Towers lobby (aka "The Great Hall of Waters.") This will be our first time on Majesty any tips? Don't overlook the Compass Deli. It's pretty good and it's included in your fare, and it's not that easy to find.
