Romantic Mediterrean 19th February A Review

We are back home now. Our return journey was fine except that Viking took us to the airport at 7am for a 11.25 flight. It is only 50 minutes to the airport so we were there for 3.5 hours. I realise, of course, that some flights left earlier than ours, but I could have done without the very early start. We had breakfast in the Stateroom at 6am. :eek: I have listed below some Observations, most of them good, but nothing is perfect.

 

OBSERVATIONS

(This is my opinion only)

There is "can do" service throughout the ship.

The bar man in the Kitchen Table did not need reminding of our room number.

The music played by the pool is a bit annoying.

The music played in Explorers is pleasant.

Our state room was never made up before 11am any morning.

The hot bathroom floor is yummy

The bathroom taps (faucets) are uncomplicated. So many taps in hotels etc,need a degree in water production to turn them on!

The interpretation of “elegant casual” after 6pm was surprising, sometimes quite astonishing.

All the crew were happy..with the guests and with each other

Heather the CD did a superior job and has a superior voice.

We rarely had to wait for a lift.

There were lots of books in all venues

I never felt quite warm enough in the public areas around the ship. The seating was comfortable with lots of cushions

Watch out for the reindeer pelts, they shed white hairs.

I never saw anyone in the hairdressers or any of the beauty venues offered.

Would we recommend Viking Ocean to friends? Yes we would.

 

PS The weather here in the UK is ghastly. Jay

Somebody has to be last and you were in the lucky cabin. On the other hand, they do do a very thorough job of cleaning each cabin each day, especially the bathrooms, and it takes time to do it properly.

I have been to your ports in review, and absolutely loved them.

Your narration made me reminisce the good times we had and makes me want to go back again!
