Rental Car in Port

we will be in Aruba on the 3-11 cruise and would like to rent a car so we can visit multiple beaches. It looks like the Hertz at the Renaissance Aruba closes at 5 and we are in port much later. Does anyone know of any options that are close to the port that we can keep the car until later?

Another option, close to the port, is the public bus. RT to Eagle or Palm beach is $5.00US.

 

The bus terminal is very convenient to the cruise port...as you leave your ship and walk toward the shopping area, cross the main street at the crosswalk and the terminal is right there.

Some branches will let you keep the car later than closing time and then drop the key and car off (I'd only do this after taking photos of the odometer and the entire car). You could contact the one in Aruba to see if that one will allow this.

Try Royal, they will meet you at the port.

Most rental car companies will let you keep the car later if you contact them and tell them ahead of time. Royal definitely does but charges a $20 after hours return fee. I am sure most will charge a small fee like this.
