reallyitsmema Posted March 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2017 Do you drop off your luggage first and then park or do you park and then drop off luggage? We dropped off our luggage and then parked. You have to go by the drop off area to get to the garage anyway, so might as well drop the bags. They were pulling cars out of line and letting them drop off bags in the bus drop off area when we sailed on 2/26 and that was making things move much quicker. They probably don't do that later when there are more buses. We go to the port around 10:15.
GiaGia Posted March 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2017 We always drop our luggage off first. I check it in while dh parks the car and then I wait for him by door..
joeyd5oh Posted March 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 6, 2017 Is there an option to bypass the drop off line and go directly to the garage park and bring your luggage over?
Baron Barracuda Posted March 6, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 6, 2017 Is there an option to bypass the drop off line and go directly to the garage park and bring your luggage over? Yes, just stay in the left lane to bypass those who are unloading and then just swing right into the garage. Elevators can easily accommodate a family with luggage. Garage is very short walk from terminal.

A man was standing at each lane and would alternate sending a car up to the next available spot at the curb. If you have to wait anyway, might as well drop off the luggage at the curb. luckyinpa Posted March 7, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 7, 2017 from all accounts this is much easier than NYC. can someone compare the walk from the NYC pier self park to the NJ parking situation? the only thing i thought was weird about NYC that you have to take the elevator downstairs and then go back outside to give your luggage.
