Casino Royale, changes and new criteria

OP, I'm going to jump on the bandwagon. When I read your post, I knew it did not apply to us in the US, but others did not and some posters got upset. Also a CR member for well over 10 years. Recently off a RCI sailing and no way has there been any kind of changes in the US that you referred to in your first post. I recently asked CR as we're cruising again shortly and many changes have been made since last year and their answer was no changes have been made since you cruise last month.

I understand you had good intentions and you were just trying to inform other CR members about a change in the program, which is fine. But, before making a statement like you did in your first post, you should have had the facts and asked on board Ovation if the $10,000 buy in with this new rolling program your talking about applies to only Ovation.

As far as the point system it is still, every 400 points you earn on slots or tables, you would receive $100 off your cruise fare and there is a $$$$ max. amount. I play both slots and tables and my points are combined between the two.

Why don't you come and sail out of the US. As a CR member you won't have to spend $10,000 to have the 5% fee waived, you'll get free drinks in the casino and maybe a few other perks.

Since you're a CR member, why don't you give them a call and get the facts for all of us so we can end this discussion.

Best of luck to you in the casino :)

Credibility?

Please don't question my credibility when you post inaccurate information.

Healthy debate is great when facts are TRUE.

But I guess from not knowing what the code means validates your credibility.

No crowding in this thread TBH.

Time to end this with a lovely picture of Bella

John if you would be so kind;)

Bella is the unofficial mascot of the Royal Caribbean thread. Well, her and Biker's dead horse.

She is very popular in Singapore

I would be most willing to oblige and be kind if you tell me what "Bella" is.

Now don't get started on something else.

I understand you had good intentions and you were just trying to inform other CR members about a change in the program, which is fine.

Expanding on this a bit, I will point much of the blame at Club Royale for the lack of any sort of public information about the current status of their program.

We loyal Club Royale members have essentially been forced to rely on the each other to discover the "facts" as we are able to discern them from our own sailings. And even then, these "facts" may not match reality as Club Royale seems to have their own internal versions that they aren't sharing with us (e.g., the restrictions on certificates that are often not enforced).

It's hard to know what we should really be able to expect, and what may be unique to a particular ship or sailing. It's really bad form for Club Royale to be as silent about all of this as they have been for the past two years, and I contribute their reticence to say anything publicly to the negativity in this thread.

Hey guys. I just got off the Navigator last week. 9 day cruise. Played 3 card poker about 2 hours a day. Averaged about $65 a hand. Was told I had about $2600 points. Got a certificate for cruise worth $750. Had enough points to get $65 casino bucks. Took it to roulette and turned it into $200 cash. I walked on the boat with 3k. Walked off with 3.2k. Hit 3 Straight flushes. 2 Three of a kinds. One 6 card straight flush. It was a grind to stay even. But came out ahead as I paid for all the gratuities and onboard ship account and tipped waiters $5 for the whole 9 day cruise. Don't know what any of this information is worth but they always take care of me when I call CR. Better than Vegas Comps! IMO.

Hi, we will be on the Oasis April 30th and wonder what the minimum would be on three card poker. Does anyone who has been on it lately have any idea? Thanks!

In January you could play $5 minimum, but it totals $20 if you play all 4 positions

I love 3 card poker, however we just got off the Harmony and the minimum was $10.00. The same was on the Navigator in February. So needless to say I have saved some money by not playing! $30 a hand is more than my limit. Loved the casino, loved the ship but missed playing my favorite game!

Wouldn't it be $40 if minimum is $10
