lamo0050 Posted April 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2017 We recently booked a midship mini-suite on the Star. I am looking at pictures of the ship and it looks like those cabins have an overhang from deck 12 above them. Is this bothersome or does it make it better? Mistizoom Posted April 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 23, 2017 I was on a mid-ship mini-suite on the Star's sister ship, Norwegian Dawn, and we really liked it. The overhang was not bothersome at all. The balcony is much bigger than the regular balcony cabin balconies.
hladygirl Posted April 23, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 23, 2017 The overhang is awesome. Really protects you from the rain. You can sit out there in pouring rain and stay dry. It also gives you some extra shade depending on where the sun is. The mid ships also have full dividers between balconies but the others have only partial dividers. No privacy. How much time do you honestly spend on your balcony during a cruise?
Visigoth Posted April 23, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 23, 2017 How much time do you honestly spend on your balcony during a cruise? When we are not out and about or sleeping we spend about 1/3 of our cabin time on the balcony.
