Gratuities on Princess

I am an experienced cruiser but have not cruised Princess. Am currently thinking about the 28 day south Pacific cruise next March for hubby and me.

I know the daily gratuities are $13.50 p/p. My question

Is the $13.50 p/p billed daily to the Onboard Account so 56 line items or is it one lump sum on the account the last day.

Can you pre-pay them?

There is an option to pre-pay on your cruise personalizer.

I'd book it, then watch for a free gratuities offer and change to it if it comes up. The $13.50 pp, per day amount you quoted is for balcony cabins and below in case anyone is wondering/lurking. Mini suites & club class are $14.50pp, per day and suites are $15.50pp, per day.
